from new; Rare Deluxe Beetle; totally original; same ownership for the last 41
years; covering just 1,000 miles in 14 years
1966 Volkswagen 1300 Deluxe Beetle presented in wonderfully original
condition and representing a rare opportunity to acquire an unspoiled example of
this iconic classic. This very rare Deluxe model was first registered in the UK
on 24th February 1966 and has had just two former keepers from new, with the
current owner having cherished the car since April 1985.
Powered by the original 1285cc engine paired with a 4-speed manual
transmission, the car remains delightfully authentic and drives, starts and
stops just as you would expect, as demonstrated during onsite photography and
video. Finished in what appears to be Fontana Grey with a black interior, the
Beetle carries an honest level of patina consistent with its age, further
highlighting its originality and character.
The
car comes with an MOT valid until June 2026 along with a history file including
17 previous MOT certificates, helping to document its long life on the road.
Importantly, this Beetle remains totally original and has not been modified or
restored in a way that detracts from its factory charm.
Opportunities to purchase a largely untouched 1966 Beetle with such
