Just three owners from new; extensively restored by Tuthill
Porche in the early '90s and lightly used since
The 1300 Beetle
was launched in 1966 and came with an increased power output of 50bhp. A
change in gearing improved the acceleration and helped to keep sales
buoyant.
This particular Beetle was first registered in February 1972.
With just three owners throughout its 51 years.
Used as a perfectly
reliable daily driver for many years, in the early '90s it had an extensive
restoration completed by Francis Tuthill of Tuthill Porsche. It has been kept
garaged since the restoration and only used on occasion.
Presenting
rather nicely both inside and out, the paintwork is still in good condition, as
are the bumpers. On the inside we find clean and tidy upholstery with little
wear. The dash, carpets and roof lining also look well.
This little
Volkswagen's last major outing was for the vendor's wedding in 2014, where it
made the journey from Stratford-upon-Avon to South Dorset and back without any
problems. It has covered under 500 miles since, the odometer currently showing
79,320 miles.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy a smart two-owner
Beetle, restored by one of the best names in the business, at a very
attractive guide price.
