Plant & Machinery Telehandler Operator
Madley (HR2), HR2 9NH

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Telehandler Operator to join our team at our busy Plant & Machinery auction site in Madley.
The successful candidate will have experience operating telehandlers and other types of plant machinery, together with a good understanding of mechanical maintenance and repair.
This is a varied hands-on role, working with a wide range of construction, agricultural and plant machinery within a busy auction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate telehandlers and other plant machinery around the auction site.
- Load, unload and move plant, machinery and equipment.
- Position machinery for customer viewings, photography and auctions.
- Prepare machinery for auction and ensure it is presented safely and correctly.
- Assist with the movement and organisation of stock around the yard.
- Carry out general workshop and yard duties.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the Plant & Machinery department.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working with plant machinery.
- Competent and confident telehandler operator.
- Experience with construction, agricultural or heavy plant machinery would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, practical and flexible approach to work.
Desirable
- Telehandler licence/certificate.
- Experience working with JCB, Manitou or similar telehandlers.
- Experience with excavators, loaders, dumpers, tractors or other heavy plant.
- Full UK driving licence.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Plant Fitter to join our team at our busy Plant & Machinery auction site in Madley.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical maintenance and repair of plant & agricultural machinery
This is a varied hands-on role, working with a wide range of plant & agricultural machinery within a busy auction environment.
You may be required to assist with the team of experienced telehandler drivers, so knowledge and experience of loading will be highly desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspections, servicing and basic maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults where required.
- Prepare machinery for auction and ensure it is presented safely and correctly.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Safely operate telehandlers and other plant machinery around the auction site.

- Telehandler licence/certificate.
- Experience working with JCB, Manitou or similar telehandlers.
