Description
Appealing late model 'CF' prefix example with Heritage Certificate;
bare shell restoration and RHD conversion; ready to be enjoyed
Dating from May
1976, this must be one of the last ‘CF’ prefix examples to have left the British
Leyland factory destined for the American market before production ceased in
July 1976.
Finished in New White, as
confirmed by the BMI Heritage Certificate, with black vinyl interior and
matching black vinyl soft-top, the car looks well and is sat on deep dish steel
wheels and modern style head lights.
Inside, we find a pair of new
seats finished in black ‘pleather’, walnut dash trim and black
carpets.
Under the bonnet, we find the
usual 2.5-litre straight-six with twin US-spec Stromberg carbs and Longflo
air filters.
Brought back to the UK
in June 2024 it has been in our vendor's hands ever since. The history
file includes the V5C, Heritage Certificate and file of undated images which
show the car being restored back to a bare shell with many new parts fitted
and conversion to right-hand drive.
A smart and very appealing
example that is ready to enjoy.
