new in July 2006 through Ledgerwood Motor Engineers, award-winning Morgan
Dealers from Lincolnshire, this lovely Plus 4 comes with all the bells and
whistles.
Painted in Rolls-Royce Racing Green and trimmed with Saddle
Brown leather piped in green, the first owner ticked a lot of option boxes.
These included embroidered head rests, walnut dash, mesh grille, luggage
carrier, hood cover, spare wheel cover and stainless steel wire
wheels.
He also asked for round mirrors to be dealer-fitted, along with a
Moto-Lita steering wheel and a nice chrome GB set on the rear wing and a special
alloy gear knob.
Ledgerwood sold it for him in September 2009 with
17,595 miles on the clock to our vendor's late-partner, the vendor putting
the car into her name in May 2023.
The car has been well serviced
since the get-go, Ledgerwood seeing the car three times at 3,375 miles in April
2007, 10,939 miles in July 2008 and 17,038 miles in July 2009.
Mike Duncan at Hartlebury Morgans serviced it again at 18,661 miles in
May 2010, Central Garage in Pershore servicing it twice at 20,082 in June 2011
and 24,168 miles in July 2016 and then Middleton Motor Services (Morgan
Specialists) twice at 25,724 miles in June 2018 and 28,894 miles in August 2021.
That is eight stamps in total.
There are other bills on file for some AVO
adjustable shock absorbers and two full sets of keys plus service keys. The MOT
runs until October 2024 with just one minor advisory for a sticky
handbrake.
This car has many of the best features that
Morgan developed over the years, including the superb 'Superform' aluminium
wings and cowl, stainless steel inner wings and bulkhead, scuttle roll bar,
long doors for easier access and quick fitting hood - the chassis is of course
galvanised too.
The lusty 2.0-litre Ford powerplant is both bulletproof
and powerful and for many makes the Plus 4 the most balanced Morgan
that was available at the time with plenty of performance on
tap...
