Description
Running and driving 406 to use and improve
First
registered in August 1960, this 406 saloon was originally painted Silver Grey
over Cambridge Grey and trimmed in Lovat coloured leather.
It came with a
cigar lighter, fog and spot lamps and was delivered new to Bolton of Leeds. The
original order appears to have been cancelled and the car was sent on
consignment.
It spent many years with Mr Simpson of Rutland, with a copy
of the old style logbook on file from 1977 in his name and subsequent bills from
Bristol Cars up to and including 2004 and it was last presented for an MOT in
2007.
The car is on SORN and we now have the DVLA on file. In need of
recommissioning after a period off road, we are advised that it does run, but
has developed an oil leak so will require some sorting before hitting the
streets once more.
