Description
Just 39,000 miles from new; regularly serviced; driven 40 miles to the
sale; a lovely original example from long-term ownership
Acquired by
the vendor back in 2008 as her everyday car, this Mini was regularly used
for local journeys and has seen near annual servicing despite covering just
6,000 miles over the last 15 years.
The file of paperwork shows that it
was first registered in May 1982 and was sold by Hartwells in Oxford as a second
hand example in December of that year with 8,552 miles on the clock for
£2,780.
The V5C shows four former keepers, the owner prior to our vendor
purchasing it in 2007 and commissioning repairs to the floorpan and a paintwork
freshen up in places.
It arrived with our vendor with some
34,000 miles showing and has been a much loved member of the family
since.
It has been cared for by Winchcombe Garage who serviced it
virtually every year from 2011 until 2021 (although not in 2014 or 2017), its
last visit consisting of some major work including a new rear subframe, welding
to the heelboard and nearside floor. The bill for this was £2,754.
Since
then it has covered just a few hundred miles and has been living in a nice dry
garage. It was driven some 40 miles to the sale and has been starting and
driving just as one would expect since arrival on site.
This is a very
straight and original Mini, which has been well cared for and gently used for
many years. It is unusual to find them like this these days.
