Honda of Derby in December 1986 this 3rd Generation of Accord comes
in three-door shooting brake guise, known as the Aerodeck which boasted a low
drag co-efficient of 0.34 whilst offering spacious accommodation for front and
rear passengers plus useful hatchback boot access.
Under the bonnet, we find the 2.0 litre A20A4 four-cylinder petrol
engine which featured PGM-Fi fuel injection and develops 98bhp and 138NM of
torque driving the front wheels here via four-speed automatic
transmission.
Inside the spacious cabin, we
find comfortable seating for four, electric windows, electric glass sunroof,
digital clock, air conditioning, electric mirrors, sunroof, dog guard and
retro-fit radio/CD player.
The car shows just
112,736 miles and comes to us from a deceased estate having been owned by just
one titled Lady owner since new.
The car has remained in storage, unused since the last MOT was issued in
2016 at 112,664 miles until being pulled out and prepared for sale with a lube
service in May 2023 along with some minor necessary works (minor welding, new
battery, brake calliper etc) and subsequent MOT.
The history file includes the V5C confirming sole ownership, old
V5C, the owner’s pack and service book showing 21 stamps, a small notebook
which recorded every journey and mileage covered since new until the last entry
in 2016, six old MOT's, file of bills showing regular service (including by
Honda main dealers up to 2016) and maintenance dating back to the late 80s
including fitment of air conditioning in February 1987, replacement exhaust by
Vertu Honda in 2016 new Denso cooling fan in 2014 costing £384, new AC drier and
condenser in 2005 costing £679, along with a few more recent bills for a lube
service kit and brake calliper.
The current MOT
is valid until May 2024 and shows no advisories. A gem of a car that still looks good, in
what looks to be wonderfully unadulterated condition and on offer at
No Reserve, so the highest bid takes it
home.
