Description
Restored four owner B in attractive colour scheme with nice roof and
interior - ready for some summer fun; overdrive
Dating from March 1973 this tidy MGB Roadster has evidently been to
the subject of considerable expense and restoration, although unfortunately
undocumented, the car presents well, starting and running nicely as we
moved it around for these shots and video.
The
car is finished in Primrose yellow, which suits the car with contrasting
black vinyl hood which also looks very recent and the car sits on a
set of 14” centre knock wire wheels which really set the car off nicely.
Inside, we find black vinyl seating which also looks fresh along
with a standard dash with dash mounted over-drive switch and more modern radio
unit. The car shows 64,263 miles
which may, or may not be correct – we have insufficient history to back this
up.
The car was acquired on a whim at one of
our sales last year and the vendor hasn't used it as he had thought, hence its
inclusion into the sale today. His loss is your gain, as it remains in super
order and is ready for summer action.
The history file includes the V5C
which shows the car had been with its previous owner since October 2016 along
with part of an old style V5 which suggests the owner before him had the
car from February 1976 to August 2016. We also find a service bill dated June
1976 (no mileage stated) , bill for a new thermostat in October 2016 and MOT
exemption form dated May 2018 although the car does come with an MOT valid until
July 2023 recording no advisories.
Buyers
please note, the Experian report shows a colour change from Gold to Yellow in
2018, which is likely to have been when the car was restored and
re-painted.
