Lovely, earlier example in a wonderful colour with a super spec;
two-tone interior and just 60,830 miles
Supplied
new by Whitefield Mercedes-Benz of Manchester in November 1999 this pretty First
R170 Generation of SLK comes to us in desirable 230Kompressor form and is
finished in an attractive hue of deep maroon and sits upon its original 16”
seven-spoke alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet, we
find the popular 2.3-litre Supercharged M111.973 four cylinder engine which as
an earlier car produces 190bhp and a whopping 280NM of torque driving the rear
wheels via five-speed automatic transmission giving the little drop-top
surprising performance, with sixty taking just 7.4 seconds.
Inside, this example was well optioned from new with a nice
two-tone interior with black and silver leather interior (cream, but its called
silver) plus matching two-tone dash, centre console and door cards along with
manual seat adjustment, cruise control, ASR, air conditioning, electric mirrors,
electric windows and of course the clever electric folding metal hard-top with
heated glass rear screen.
The car shows just
60,830 miles and looks to be in super order with minimal signs of age or mileage
and has been with our vendor for the last couple of years seeing limited dry use
only.
The history file includes the V5C
revealing five former keepers, the owner’s pack and service book recording eight
stamps plus one hand written entry, the most recent in May of this year at
60,712 miles using Coma Z 5W40 oil. The file also includes some 15 old MOTs, the
current MOT certificate, valid until May 2024 which recorded no advisories and a
host of invoices for works undertaken including the most recent service
mentioned.
A tidy example of a popular Modern
Classic roadster with lower mileage, an appealing specification and nice colour
combination.
