2001 Land Rover Defender 110 County
No
Reserve
Nice old TD5 that's been well-loved with
replacement engine at 163k; driven 60 miles to the sale; useful roof rack and 11
seats
Dating from September 2001 this rugged Land
Rover Defender 110 County Station wagon has been with our lady vendor for the
past three years since when its been used daily and thoroughly enjoyed,
following in her husband's steps as a life-long Land Rover
fan.
Finished in Green, there are some marks
and the usual aluminium oxide blisters on the tailgate and door bottoms etc as
pictured but fundamentally, despite its 205,000 miles covered, it presents
well.
Under the bonnet we find the dependable 2.5 litre TD5 lump which,
according to the history file, was replaced at 163,000 miles with an exchange
reconditioned TD5 lump.
The history file includes the V5C
revealing just three former keepers, service book with stamps from 2002 – 2011
along with a wealth of bills for routine maintenance and parts, including a
replacement clutch, recent battery and replacement exhaust
section.
Additional features include fitment of
a most useful full-length roof rack with LED spot lamps, checker plate to the
wing tops, Boost alloy wheels shod with Goodyear all-terrain tyres, tow bar,
hinged spare wheel carrier, full length dog guard and rubber mats to protect the
carpets. We are also told that all
11 seats have seat belts.
Driven 60 miles to
the sale, the vendor reports it drives as it should and has been a blast to own
and enjoy. The current MOT is valid until May 2023 recording two advisories for
slight damage to the windscreen and some under body vehicle corrosion (see
images of the underside).
On offer at No
Reserve, the highest bid takes this 110 home.
