1983 Mercedes-Benz 230E (W123)
No
Reserve
Tidy example owned by father and son since 2001,
restored not to long ago and used sparingly since; 'Dad-y' registration
included; very smart example
Dating from May 1983
this later third series (from Sept’82) model 230E hails from the W123 generation
and comes to us finished in Gold sat upon its original 14” steel wheels with
body coloured hub caps.
Under the bonnet sits
the later, fuel injected M102 E23 2.3 litre four-cylinder petrol engine which
develops 134Bhp and 205NM of torque driving the rear wheels here via four-speed
automatic transmission.
Inside, we find beige
cloth seats that match the body colour and matching carpets. The dash features Zebrano wood trim,
electric passenger mirror, manual windows and electric sunroof along with
fitment of a more modern Kenwood radio/CD player.
The car shows 124,556 miles which have been covered by our vendor
and his father who have owned the car between them since 2001. The history file includes the V5C
revealing just three former keepers to our vendor (one of the former being his
father) and five old MOTs. The
car’s current MOT is valid until July 2023 and recorded no advisories (no
advisories have been recorded since 1 minor in 2014) and reveals the car to have
covered but a few hundred miles per year for the past six years at
least.
Our vendor had the car restored a few
years ago but has unfortunately lost the invoices, however the general condition
of the car remains very good indeed with only a few cosmetic imperfections as
pictured.
Ready to be enjoyed this is a tidy
and most usable example that comes with a fun number plate almost reading
“Dad-y” if you squint hard enough ;)
