Description
1996 MG RV8
Pretty car that's been out in
Japan until 2003, finished in classic Woodcote Green with stainless exhaust and
A/C; believed to have covered just c.26,000 miles with 3 UK owners;
driven 100 miles to the sale
Dating from 1996
this Woodcote Green MG RV8 is like many a JDM example and was imported and
registered in the UK in November 2003, since when its had just three owners, the
current since July 2007.
Under the sculpted
bonnet, we find the 3.9 litre fuel injected Rover V8 lump, good for 190Bhp and
318NM of torque, driving the rear wheels via five-speed LT-77 manual
transmission.
In the cosy cabin, we find the
typical RV8 leather and wood trim, and as a Japanese market car, air
conditioning.
The car shows just 10,318 miles,
the car looks to have been zeroed on arrival with conversion to Mph. The owner’s
pack is in Japanese but one of those documents looks to show 19,110Km and
another service document showing 24,344Km although the date is unclear so we
would estimate the car has covered at least 26,000 miles in
total.
The history file also includes the V5C
recording two former keepers, at least 15 old MOTs and a selection of bills
from its time here for parts and maintenance including replacement catalytic
converters and stainless rear system in February 2008.
We also note inclusion of the bill of sale when first sold in the
UK showing 69 miles in August 2004 by Brown & Gammon ltd for £13,800, an MG
Rover Group certificate of conformity dated August 2003 and current MOT valid
until March 2023 recording just one minor advisory for an exhaust
leak.
Presenting well, but with scope for
further enhancement with the paintwork looking a little dull in places, with a
couple of marks as pictured and crack below the driver’s side head lamp it
could, with a little work look super and offer the lucky owner a low mileage,
low owner MG RV8 experience.
