2004 Chevrolet GT Classic Starcraft
Dayvan
Fully loaded top-of-the-range Dayvan with
electric bed; TV; leather; everything you can think of although we couldn't find
a kitchen sink!; LPG power for economy
This range-topping Dayvan
was first registered in 2004 and came to the UK in 2009. We don't know a lot
about its early life - but the odometer shows a mere 72,722 miles which is
entirely believable.
Whoever bought it in the first place must have had
deep pockets, for it is specified with everything you can think of. The seats
are trimmed in leather, it has an electric rear sofabed and two fabulously
comfortable 'captains' chairs. These can easily be removed.
Up front, the
leather seats are heated. Being an American vehicle, it also has powerful a/c
and as many cup holders as you could dream of. Faux wood adornments are
everwhere. The interior also has overhead lockers, cubby holes wherever you
look, mood lighting, a DV-AC 300w inverter, window blinds and a great big telly
with a video player, DVD/CD/MP3 player and a stereo system in the
rear.
It has two barn doors each side for easy access, ventilation
windows on the side and at the rear and a sweet sounding rumbly V8 of 5.3-litres
up front, which has an LPG conversion. The van also has a tow bar holder built
in at the rear, but no ball or electrics that we could see and a set of
reversing sensors. Bidders are advised that the engine check light comes and
goes but it runs very sweetly and drives as a low mileage (72,722miles) van
should. It has an MOT until February 2022 with just a minor advisory for
handbrake adjustment.
You can find these Dayvans for sale across Europe
with intagalactic mileage for a small fortune, making this well presented
example look exceptional value, especially when set against other classic
campers we can think of. This is the perfect bit of kit for crossing
Continents.
