A smart and well-maintained
example of Triumph’s wedge-shaped sports car, finished in what is believed to
be the particularly attractive Aran Beige with a complementary Toffee
Tartan interior. First registered in August 1982, this TR7 has had just four
former keepers and has been in the current ownership since November
2020.
Powered by the 1,998cc engine
with five-speed manual transmission, the car is fitted with a stainless-steel
exhaust and currently shows 57,005 miles, which the vendor believes to be
correct, although this cannot be verified.
The vendor has kept a detailed
record of parts purchased since the car reached 54,000 miles, with expenditure
of over £2,800 on parts alone, in addition to the considerable time and labour
invested in maintaining and improving the car. Invoices documenting some of the
work are included.
The history file also contains
six old MOT certificates, the original guarantee, workshop manual and further
invoices. The last MOT expired in June 2021 and the TR7 is now both MOT and road
tax exempt.
Driven over 25 miles to our
site, the TR7 started, drove and stopped as expected for photography and the
accompanying video.
A desirable and increasingly
collectable classic, this TR7 combines an appealing period colour scheme with a
good history file and evidence of considerable recent
investment.
