The Porsche 968 Club Sport is
widely regarded as one of the finest driver's cars to leave Stuttgart. Developed
with weight reduction and driver involvement as its priorities, the Club Sport
dispensed with many of the comfort features found in the standard 968 to create
a more focused, engaging and rewarding machine. Today, genuine factory-built
Club Sports are highly sought after, making originality more important than
ever.
Offered here is a genuine
factory-built 1994 Porsche 968 Club Sport, not a recreation, finished in White
and powered by the superb 2,994cc four-cylinder engine paired with the desirable
six-speed manual gearbox. First registered in September 1994, it has had 11
former keepers and has remained with its current owner since January
2013.
This example is particularly
well specified with several desirable factory options, including the
exceptionally rare protective side mouldings, which deleted the iconic side
decals when new, although the original decals are supplied separately with the
car. Further factory options include reduced radio preparation, allowing a radio
to be fitted without additional wiring, a top-tint windscreen and an electric
sunroof.
The Club Sport's appeal lies
in what Porsche removed rather than what it added. Rear seats, much of the sound
insulation and numerous comfort features were deleted, while lightweight Recaro
fixed-back bucket seats, thinner glass, lightweight carpeting and fabric door
pulls all contributed to a weight saving of around 100kg over the standard 968.
The result is one of the purest and most involving front-engined Porsches ever
produced.
Accompanying the car are two
substantial history files containing the original handbook, 22 service stamps,
20 previous MOT certificates and a large collection of invoices documenting
maintenance throughout its life. Most recently, the car underwent a
comprehensive service and light recommissioning in March 2026, with expenditure
exceeding £3,750, supported by invoices. It is offered with an MOT valid until
March 2027.
The vendor drove the Porsche
over 50 miles to the sale and reports that it performed faultlessly, starting,
running and stopping exactly as expected throughout the journey and while on
site for photography and filming.
With genuine factory Club
Sports becoming increasingly difficult to find and values continuing to
strengthen, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of Porsche's most revered
analogue driver's cars. Equally suited to spirited road driving, occasional
track use or a discerning collection, it offers an exhilarating ownership
