Appealing classic single from the closing
years of BSA production; 250cc single; accessible project with great
potential
1969 BSA Starfire, last MOT’d in 2017, this
example represents BSA’s lively 250cc single from the late-sixties, known for its light weight,
sharp styling and willing performance. The Starfire combined the
unit-construction B25 engine with the
clean, modern lines of the era, making it one of BSA’s more popular small-capacity models.
This machine comes from a small
collection of British motorcycles that have been in storage for around six
years, so a level of recommissioning will be required before returning to the
road. Its last recorded MOT in 2017 suggests it was in use not too long before
entering storage, which should ease the process of bringing it back to running
condition.
A
straightforward and appealing classic single from the closing years of BSA
production, offering an accessible project with great
potential.
