Dispatched from the Plumstead factory on 1
October 1958, this late-50s Matchless G3 represents the
well-regarded 350cc single in its mature
form. The bike forms part of a stalled restoration, the previous owner having
already had numerous components polished and prepared before the project fell
dormant some six years ago.
The vendor is currently searching the garage
for any remaining parts, brackets and fittings that may accompany the machine,
and its overall completeness will determine how swiftly it can be returned to
the road.
As it stands, it offers a straightforward and rewarding
opportunity for the Matchless enthusiast, with a solid basis for finishing the
restoration and bringing this classic British single back to
life.
