Hillclimb-track day ready all-wheel drive
2.8L V6; many quality upgrades with original parts
included
First registered in 2001, this Volkswagen Golf
V6 4Motion presents in metallic silver with a contrasting black interior and
shows 116,208 miles. The current keeper has owned it since 2018 with the current
MOT certificate valid till November 2026. A strong and capable example of the
sought-after Mk4 V6 4Motion, it has since
been developed considerably by its owner, a highly skilled classic motoring
engineer, who has used his expertise to prepare the car for hill climbing and
track day use.
Originally a well-maintained road car, it was treated
to a comprehensive program of upgrades before being used for a number of member
and training days at the world-famous Shelsley Walsh hill climb
circuit. The vendor soon became fully immersed in the sport and has now
progressed to a dedicated competition car, prompting the sale of this
well-sorted and impressively specified
machine.
The
specification is extensive and thoughtfully chosen, including Vibra-Technics engine mounts, upgraded
H&R anti-roll bars, refurbished calipers with
uprated discs, KW coil over suspension, and Toyo sticky tyres on wider alloy
wheels. Inside, the car benefits from Cobra seats, harnesses, and a roll cage,
while a sporty Milltek exhaust completes the package with a suitably
purposeful note.
Importantly, lots of original
parts are included in the sale, offering the next custodian the option to return
the car to standard specification should they so wish. In its current form, it
represents a well-prepared and enthusiast-owned example of the charismatic V6
4Motion, ready for further hill climb outings, track days, or simply to be
enjoyed as a highly engaging road car.
