1959 Jaguar RAM D-Type Replica plus donor Jaguar 3.4
MOD
Superb project for the winter months; comprehensive kit
fitted with a 3.8-litre engine; mechanically complete donor 3.4 MOD with V5C;
Dunlop-style wheels included
One of those stalled projects that
never quite got to the top of the list, this Realm (RAM) D-Type Jaguar kit looks
pretty complete and ready to start.
The bodywork consists of an
accurately proportioned fibreglass shell, including doors, boot lid and bonnet,
plus plexiglass screen. The shell is sitting on a Realm tubular chassis complete
with 3.8-litre engine and gearbox. It also has an IRS rear setup.
Sitting
alongside is a near-complete wreck of a 1959 3.4-litre MOD Mk II donor car,
complete with V5C - on SORN. Registered KCN 411, the vendor had intended to
install its more appropriate 3.4-litre engine and ancilliaries in the
D-Type replica.
In the back of the saloon sits a set of four Dunlop-style
wheels and a brand new stainless tank.
In need of some time and
enthusiasm, this comprehensive kit of bits looks terrific value and terrific
fun.
