Description
2001 Ford Focus 2.0 Zetec Rally
Car
Recently kitted out for rally/track day use; only
one gentle event since build; road legal with a fresh MOT
First
registered in May 2001, this Ford Focus 2.0 Zetec three-door hatchback has
covered 82,335 miles to date and has a decent service history comprising 7
stamps in the book, the last at 60,135 miles in May 2013 with some supporting
invoices.
In 2019 it was stripped out and
converted into a rally/track day car. The spec includes: full welded-in roll
cage; Cobra race seats with Sabelt harnesses; 5-speed manual gearbox; engine ECU
upgrade; larger throttle body; vented disc brake upgrade; power cut-off
switches; air bags removed; coilover adjustable suspension all round; battery
relocated to the boot; RS spoiler and roof vent.
Since completion the car has only competed in one gentle road rally
in Lancashire. Driven some 60 miles to the sale, it has an MOT until March 2023
with just a few minor advisories relating to ‘brake pipes covered in
grease/corroded’. It also comes with six past MOTs, its original handbooks and
two sets of keys.
Starting promptly and
running nicely as we have moved it around on site, it looks rock solid and is
ready for fresh adventures, whether on road or track.
