Description
1933 Rolls Royce 20/25 Saloon
Few registered
keepers; Windover saloon body; current Rolls collector has owned this for the
last 10 years; driven over 80 miles to the auction
First registered in
1933 and thought to have been manufactured in 1932, this Rolls Royce
chassis is adorned with the coachbuilding skills of Windover of Edgware
Road, London. Showing just three recorded keepers, our vendor purchased JJ 2309
from Ghost Motor Works, Kent in 2011 (purchaser invoice on file) - the
previous owner having acquired it in 1995.
Shortly after the
vendor purchased the car, he took it to Priory Vintage Car Company in
Oxfordshire for a full service. This was followed by the front seat being
re-upholstered in 2013 and later in 2016, the dynamo was changed along with the
installation of an electric fuel pump, the refitting of the Autovac and
alignment of the clutch friction plate.
An avid and keen vintage car
enthusiast, the vendor has delighted in using the car and to give that
extra bit of confidence to prospective bidders, has driven it to us, a
distance of over 80 miles.
Offered for sale
very reluctantly, its realistic catalogue estimate is purely down to
the vendor downsizing and no longer having space for more than one Rolls-Royce.
Standing proud and looking magnificent in its two tone light primrose and black,
the fitted trunk to the rear and the lavish interior makes for an ideal touring
car, well suited to weddings and attending RREC
meetings.
