1985 Fiat X1/9 VS

From long term ownership; under 54,000 miles; lots of history; recent comprehensive recommissioning; a very smart example

This sharp-suited X1/9 VS was first registered on the first of August 1985. Tilleys of Burgess Hill handled the sale and looked after it until 1988 according to the accompanying service book which shows a total of nine stamps (including the PDI) to 22,641 miles in 1990.

It has had just three owners in total, the last for 32 years. They put it into storage in 2006 since when it has been sitting until earlier this year when it was exhumed and recommissioned.

It has been given a thorough going through and there is lots of history on file, with over 50 invoices dating back to the late '80s. There are 18 old MOTs on file which verify the period off road and that the indicated mileage of 54,000 miles is correct. It has had a carburettor rebuild by the Carburettor Exchange and new electric window switches in the last few months.

It also carries an MOT unitl October 2021 and looks extremely presentable in its attrative two-tone grey livery and smart red leather seats carrying the embossed Bertone logo. It still wears its correct Chromadora wheels (including the spare) and we are advised that the electrics function as they should.
