Showing a genuine 11,085 miles; one owner from
new; has been dry-stored all its life; a wonderfully
authentic example; hand-written notebook in which the owner
carefully recorded every journey the car has ever made
First registered in December 1983,
this remarkably preserved example has had just one owner from new and has seen
very little use, showing an astonishingly low 11,085 miles. A true
time-warp car.
The history file includes the
original log book, along with MOT certificates from 1987, 1988 and 1989,
confirming the minimal mileage covered in its early years. Also present are the
original handbooks, spare keys, and even a hand-written notebook in which the owner
carefully recorded every journey the car has ever made. A new-old-stock fuel cap, old tax discs and
other period paperwork further underline its originality.
The car has been dry-stored all its life, and the
condition of the bodywork and interior trim reflects this careful preservation.
A gentle recommissioning is now required before returning to the road. While in
storage the engine has been turned over and shows compression, but no attempt
has been made to add fuel or run it. The doors still close with the same sound
they would have made in the 1980s, and the whole car feels wonderfully
untouched.
A
rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally original, low-mileage, single-owner survivor from the early 1980s
— the sort of car that seldom appears
on the market and is increasingly sought after by collectors. A wonderfully
authentic example.
