Mercedes-Benz SLK 350 R171: Designo Mystic White; 36,500 miles
showing; great specification
An excellent
example of the desirable R171 facelift SLK 350, presented in the very rare
Designo Mystic Pearlescent White with Black Soft Leather and Ash Black Wood
interior. Powered by the highly regarded 3.5-litre V6 producing 305 bhp and
paired with the smooth 7-speed G-Tronic automatic transmission, this car offers
strong performance together with refined open-top motoring.
First registered on 1 January 2009, the car has had just three owners
from new. The first owner, a business lady, retained the car until April 2018.
It was then purchased from Sytner Select by a gentleman who required temporary
transport while his Bentley was undergoing refurbishment. The current owner
acquired the vehicle in November 2018 and has since used it sparingly during
summer months.
The car currently shows 36,510
miles and comes with an MOT valid until 31 May 2026 with no advisories. It is
supplied with its handbooks, stamped service book, supporting invoices and two
remote key fobs.
The specification is
particularly strong and includes the Mercedes Command system incorporating
satellite navigation with map and firmware updates, phone connectivity, SD card
input and radio/CD/DVD audio. It also features Linguatronic voice control, Xenon
headlights, a multifunction steering wheel, speed-sensitive power steering and
cruise control. Comfort features include heated electric seats with the memory
package for the driver’s seat, steering column and mirrors, as well as the
Airscarf system which blows warm air onto the neck when driving with the roof
down. The car also benefits from air conditioning, an anti-theft alarm system,
rain-sensing wipers, electrically folding mirrors with integrated indicators and
electric windows.
Parking is aided by both front
and rear sensors with visual and audible warnings. The folding hardtop can be
lowered using one-touch operation and also benefits from SmartTop remote
functionality. A Mercedes-branded wind deflector is fitted to improve open-top
comfort.
This example also benefits from the AMG
Limited Edition specification, which includes lowered sports suspension, 18-inch
AMG alloy wheels and the higher-output 305 bhp AMG-tuned version of the V6
engine. The car is fitted with an upgraded ‘Royal’ steering wheel featuring a
thicker rim, thumb grips, Alcantara side sections and silver stitching, while
the original wood-rim steering wheel is included with the
sale.
The service history is comprehensive and
demonstrates careful maintenance throughout the car’s life. Early servicing was
carried out by Mercedes-Benz main dealers in Inverness and Glasgow, with later
maintenance undertaken by independent specialists and BR Special
Tuning.
Recorded servicing includes Mercedes-Benz
Inverness in April 2010 at 2,371 miles and May 2011 at 8,880 miles.
Mercedes-Benz Glasgow carried out services in December 2012 at 17,985 miles,
December 2013 at 20,106 miles and December 2014 at 22,920 miles. An independent
service was completed in December 2016 at 28,800 miles. Sytner Select carried
out a multi-point inspection and health check in April 2018 at 31,699
miles.
Since then the car has been regularly
serviced by BR Special Tuning, including a full service in October 2019 at
34,444 miles, followed by further servicing in October 2020 at 34,662 miles,
November 2021 at 34,998 miles, November 2022 at 35,101 miles, November 2023 at
35,450 miles with oil and filter replacement, November 2024 at 35,575 miles and
most recently in December 2025 at 36,510 miles.
The vehicle was driven over 80 miles to the auction site and started,
ran and drove exactly as expected. With low mileage, careful ownership and a
rare colour combination, this example represents an appealing opportunity to
acquire a well-maintained and increasingly desirable modern Mercedes
roadster.
