Just five
former keepers in total; recently the alternator, fuel pump and ignition coil
were replaced; Hard top and soft top comes with the car
Registered in June 1976, this charming MGB Roadster is powered by the
well-known 1798cc engine paired with a manual gearbox, offering the classic
British sports car driving experience that has made the MGB a favourite with
enthusiasts for decades.
According to the V5C,
the car has been in the same ownership for over 13 years and has had just five
former keepers in total, suggesting long-term care and enjoyment rather than
frequent changes of hands. It is supplied with both a hard top and a soft top,
with the soft top currently stored in the boot, providing flexibility for
year-round use.
The history file is modest but
includes the V5C registration document, a number of previous MOT certificates,
and a couple of invoices from MGB Hive dated 2009 and 2017 covering general
maintenance items such as steering rack gaiters, a handbrake cable, bulbs, and
various headlight components. More recently, in August of last year, the
alternator, fuel pump and ignition coil were replaced.
The car starts readily on the button and has been driving nicely
around our site during photography and video recording, presenting as an
enjoyable classic that appears ready to be used and appreciated by its next
owner.
A well-known and accessible British
classic, this 1976 MGB Roadster offers straightforward mechanicals, attractive
period styling and the added benefit of both hard and soft tops, making it an
appealing prospect for anyone looking to step into classic car ownership or
expand an existing collection.
