New MOT for

2002 Porsche
911 (996) Carrera 4S finished in Arctic Silver with a black leather interior,
currently wrapped in a satin finish grey which gives the car a more contemporary
appearance while protecting the original paintwork beneath. First registered in
May 2002, this example has had just three former keepers and has been in the
current ownership since January 2007, suggesting long-term care and
enjoyment.
Powered by the 3.6-litre naturally
aspirated flat-six engine producing the unmistakable sound and character
expected from a 911, this Carrera 4S is paired with the desirable six-speed
manual gearbox. The wide-bodied C4S combines the iconic Turbo-style stance with
all-wheel drive confidence, making it one of the most sought-after variants of
the 996 generation. When new, this car carried a list price of £66,289 and was
specified with a number of factory options including the Bose sound system for
the coupe, electric tilt and slide sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlights, leather and
alloy gear shift and handbrake, aluminium painted instrument dials, rear parking
assistance, red seat belt guards, stainless steel door sills, Porsche crest
embossed headrests and the Porsche CDR-22 stereo.
This example has covered just 55,257 miles and benefits from a Danks
sports exhaust which enhances the distinctive flat-six soundtrack. The clutch
was replaced in February 2008 at 28,913 miles and the car appears to have
undergone a significant recommissioning in May 2020 at 54,400 miles with work
totalling £4,941.90 covering brakes, suspension and servicing items. A large
collection of receipts accompanies the car showing maintenance carried out over
the years, with the most recent recorded service in March
2022.
The car is supplied with an MOT valid until
March 2027 with no advisories. A new battery was fitted just prior to the MOT
and the car was driven to and from the testing centre without issue, starting,
running and stopping exactly as expected. Please note the private registration
currently fitted will be removed prior to sale and the original registration,
AM02KBJ is now reinstated. There is some visible damage to the wrap on the
rear of the car as shown in the photographs, though this does not affect the
underlying bodywork.
Overall, this is an
appealing example of the increasingly collectible 996 Carrera 4S, combining low
mileage, long-term ownership and desirable factory specification with the added
character of a sports exhaust and the practicality of four-wheel
drive.
