Complete car in need of full restoration; 49,800 miles indicated; last
on the road in 2005; good interior; among the last 400 Stags made
First registered in London in September 1977,
this rather sorry-looking Stag Automatic (chassis no. LD45322A) must be
among the last 400 of the 25,939 made in total - the very last Stag
(chassis no. LD45722) rolled
off the Canley production line on 24th June
1977.
It has had five former
keepers, our vendor acquiring it in 2021 from a Bristol gent who had owned it
since 2002. At this point the car had been left standing outside under a
tarpaulin for about 10 years, a tax disc on the windscreen suggesting that it
was last on the road in 2005.
Our vendor has not yet put the
car into his own name and was planning to restore it, but an impending move to
Spain has now scuppered that plan, hence the car’s appearance in this sale.
As you can see in the photos, the car is in need of full restoration
but the floors look pretty solid and the interior looks like it should need
nothing more than a good clean. The odometer shows 49,814 miles but there is no
history to warrant this. All we have is a V5C and a full set of
keys.
On offer here at no reserve,
the best bid takes it home.
