Full £5,000 repaint and
colour change in 2016; first registered in January 1952; starting and driving as
expected while on site
This charming and increasingly scarce 1952
Triumph Renown TDB is a fine example of post-war British motoring presented in
appealing and usable condition.
First registered in January 1952, this
elegant saloon is understood to have had just three former keepers, suggesting a
life of careful stewardship.
Finished in an attractive light metallic
blue over ivory white, the car displays the graceful lines for which the Renown
is known. The exterior colour scheme is complemented beautifully by a beige
leather interior and traditional wood trim, creating a warm and authentically
period cabin environment. Power is supplied by the 2,088cc petrol engine paired
with a manual transmission, offering the smooth, unhurried driving experience
expected of the model.
Importantly, the car is accompanied by its
original Buff Logbook, a desirable piece of historical documentation that adds
to the vehicle’s provenance. Also present are a number of invoices, notably
including documentation for a £5,000 repaint carried out in 2016, which
contributes to the car’s smart overall presentation today.
While on site
for photography and a short video, the Triumph was observed starting, stopping
and running as expected, giving confidence in its general mechanical manners.
Altogether, this well-presented Renown represents an appealing opportunity for
the enthusiast seeking an honest, usable example of this characterful British
saloon, equally suited to gentle touring, classic events, or addition to a
discerning collection.
