Selection of hard-to-find components for one of
Standard’s early
offerings
Introduced towards the end of the 1920s, the
Standard Nine Teignmouth represented one of the company’s more refined
small-car offerings, combining modest
running costs with a level of engineering that helped cement
Standard’s reputation in the pre-war market. Surviving components
from these early models are increasingly scarce, making this collection of parts
a useful resource for restorers of the period.
This lot comprises a 5-stud worm-drive rear axle, together with four
brake drums, a stripped front axle, and an engine assembly including block,
crank, flywheel and cylinder head. Also included is a three-speed gearbox and a box of assorted
small parts, all believed to relate to the Standard Nine Teignmouth and
potentially other models of similar vintage.
A rare opportunity to acquire a selection of
hard-to-find components for one of
Standard’s early offerings, ideal for spares,
restoration support or future projects.
