Approximately £4,000 spent on the car; Defender 110 Hi-Cap;
approximately 146,000 miles; MOTd until October 2026; Coniston Green with a soft
top; 200Tdi engine
Offered here is a
February 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 Hi-Cap, an exceptionally rare example
fitted from the factory with the highly regarded 200Tdi engine and finished in
classic Coniston Green with a soft top. Hi-Cap 200Tdi Defenders are widely
considered among the rarest of all non-SV variants, and this example presents
with approximately 146,000 miles, a very reasonable figure for a vehicle of its
age and provenance.
The interior benefits from
later-model TDCi seats, providing a notable improvement in comfort over the
original fitment, while the exterior has been subtly enhanced with Boost alloy
wheels and silver headlamp surrounds, giving the vehicle a purposeful yet
well-kept appearance. Structurally, the Defender is described as very solid in
all the usual problem areas, including the chassis, bulkhead, outriggers and
crossmembers. The pickup bed shows a few creases and evidence of prior repairs,
though nothing that detracts from the overall presentation or utility of the
vehicle.
We are advised that within the last 200
miles the vehicle has benefited from significant mechanical investment,
including new brake discs, calipers and pads all round, a brake fluid change, a
new battery and starter motor, replacement track rod ends, a new washer bottle
pump, new headlamps and updated headlamp wiring, along with welding work to
return the chassis to its best condition. This work is said to total in excess
of £4,000, although supporting documentation is unfortunately not
available.
The Defender has covered just 10,000
miles in the past 12 to 13 years, suggesting a relatively easy life in recent
times. Coupled with the recent expenditure and a fresh MOT valid until 14
October 2026, this rare Hi-Cap is now ready to be enjoyed or put back to work,
representing a scarce opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable working
Defenders of the classic era.
