MOTd until June 2026; alleged to be one of only 54
Virage left in the UK today; 5.3-litre V8 engine; huge history
file
1995 Aston Martin Virage Volante 5.3L,
an elegant and increasingly collectible open-top grand tourer presented in the
rarely seen and highly desirable colour combination of Sherwood Green over
Magnolia leather piped in Spruce Green. The interior is further complemented by
Fir Green carpets edged in Spruce Green leather, a Magnolia Alcantara headlining
and a black mohair hood, creating a wonderfully period-correct and luxurious
cabin environment.
Introduced in 1989, the Virage
marked a new era for Aston Martin, combining traditional hand-built
craftsmanship with a more modern approach to luxury and performance. The Volante
convertible followed in 1992 and perfectly captured the marque’s grand touring
ethos, offering effortless open-air motoring without compromise. Power comes
from the formidable 5.3-litre V8 engine producing approximately 330 horsepower,
delivering smooth, muscular performance through an automatic transmission,
accompanied by power-assisted steering and sports suspension for a refined yet
engaging drive.
This example benefits from an
extensive specification including air conditioning, alarm and immobiliser, alloy
wheels, aluminium trim components, body-coloured bumpers, electric windows, an
electrically operated convertible roof with soft-top cover, metallic paint,
sports seats, sports steering wheel, tinted glass and a leather-trimmed
headlining. As with all Virage models, the car was meticulously handcrafted,
reflecting Aston Martin’s commitment to quality, exclusivity and timeless
design.
The car has been well maintained, with
recent work including a full service with catalytic converters replaced, a
right-hand rear wheel bearing, gearbox and differential service, and the
replacement of various front suspension bushes along with steering rack
gaiters.
It is accompanied by a substantial
history file, showing consistent care throughout its life, and has covered
approximately 90,000 miles. The MOT is valid until June 2026, and the vehicle
benefits from a comprehensive service history between 1995 and 1999 with a few
sporadic service receipts from there forward last completed in
2024
A rare opportunity to acquire a charismatic
and beautifully specified Aston Martin Virage Volante, offering classic British
V8 motoring, open-top elegance and genuine hand-built pedigree, ready to be
enjoyed by its next custodian.
