1990 Morgan Plus 4; true
British motoring icon; two owners from new; first owner waited 10 years after
order placed to receive the car; MOTd until May 2026; only 67,514 miles showing
on the car
This is a charming and increasingly collectible 1990
Morgan Plus 4, a quintessential piece of traditional British
motoring.
First registered in August 1990, this example has had just two
former keepers from new. Notably, the original owner is said to have waited over
ten years for delivery, a testament to the desirability and craftsmanship of
these hand-built cars.
Powered by a 1994cc petrol engine and paired with
a manual gearbox, the Plus 4 delivers the engaging driving experience for which
Morgan is renowned. The current keeper has owned the car since July 1997,
enjoying long-term custodianship of nearly three decades.
The car
benefits from a Librands stainless steel exhaust manifold, stainless steel wire
wheels and a bare metal respray in Connaught Green it had around
2018.
While the original service history has unfortunately been lost over
the years, the vendor advises that the car has been regularly serviced
throughout its life. Reassuringly, the Morgan was driven over 150 miles to site,
starting, stopping, and driving as it should during its time
here.
Cosmetically, the car would benefit from light refreshing, and the
steering wheel will require attention, as the inner material beneath the leather
has begun to deteriorate — a common and easily addressed issue.
A
wonderfully honest example, offering the next owner the opportunity to enjoy
as-is or sympathetically improve. A classic Morgan with character, provenance,
and undeniable charm — ready for its next chapter.
