Description
Two owners from new, the current for 24 years; only 13,922
miles indicated; one of only around 900 made in RHD; MOT until February 2026
with no advisories
A real old school hot rod, the wonderful Z3M Roadster was built as a
side-project by BMW’s fabled M Division alongside the regular Z3
range.
Only available from 1998 until 2002, it was developed by BMW M-Sport
engineers and was combined with the current at the time Z3 Roadster – which
was always considered a bit too frivolous for the really committed driver until
the Z3M came along.
Fitted with the magnificent S50 321bhp straight-six 3.2-litre engine
from the contemporary M3, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, it had a
fantastic power-to-weight ratio and was the fastest accelerating BMW of its day,
scorching to 60 in 5.2 seconds on its way to a top speed limited to
155mph.
The S50 Z3 M Sport Roadster offered here was first registered in May
2000 and changed hands to the current owner in September 2001, Unfortunately the
service history has been mislaid over the years, but the car is only currently
showing 13,922 miles and this is backed up with the MOT history supplied on the
DVLA website. The current MOT runs to Fenruary 2026 with no
advisories.
It
is finished in the most desirable colour combination Artic Silver with
complementing black leather interior.
Only around 900 BMW
Z3M Roadsters were made in RHD and it is believed that only around 500 are
UK-registered today making this car probably one of the rarest BMWs and
with the lowest mileage still in circulation.
