Description
With its fresh bright orange paintwork that confidently shouts the
70s, this MK1 Toyota Celica ST is always going to attract lots of attention;
from a lovely retro collection
Not a common sight on today’s roads,
designed as the Japanese Mustang, this sporty two door sportscar was first
registered in April 1976.
The Mk1 Celica was the first Japanese car
to use state-of-the-art robotic assembly in its production and this example
benefits from fresh paintwork and a thorough wax oil treatment.
The TA22
ST model was fitted with a -1.6 litre T series engine coupled with a manual
gearbox, complete with a current V5C showing the car has been in the same
ownership since 2016 with five previous keepers in 49 years. The vehicle
was subject to an insurance claim in June 2022 resulting in a catagory N marker
on HPI. Category N Insurance Loss. No
Structural Damage and Repairable - Insurer Decided Not to
Repair.
Running and driving nicely on site, this rare retro
Celica looks a big chunk of cool for relatively little
outlay.
