Current

history
The
E36 generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars was
produced from
1990 to 2000. The initial models were of the four-door Saloon style, followed by
the Coupe, Convertible, Touring and eventually the Compact
hatchback.
The
Coupe we have here is the more desirable model of the four options listed above
and being the 328i Sport variant, really makes this car a sought-after modern
classic with 50:50 weight distribution and that creamy smooth and powerful 2.8
straight-six which can still hold its own in modern traffic with
classic BMW looks.
The
original purchase invoice shows that it left the BMW dealership in
London in August 1997 and cost the first owner £32,195 with close to £5,000
worth of options. Currently showing 107,977 miles, it comes with
lots of invoices for regular upkeep, the service book recording 12 stamps,
mainly at BMW dealers, the last in May 2010 at 85,497 miles.
Our vendor
acquired the car in June 2011 and has maintained it himself throughout his
14-year ownership with various invoices for parts purchased. It rides on a set
of BBS alloys which really enhance the sporting looks of the
car.
There
are no fewer than 25 old MOTs to warrant the mileage, the current MOT being
valid until August 2025 with just a couple of minor advisories.
