No Reserve
Much recent expenditure with various new parts;
alloy wheels; overdrive; sunroof
First registered
in August 1978, this MGB GT comes with a good file of invoices to show regular
upkeep over the last 7 years with much money spent on various new parts.
In April/May last year it had a service and
check-over which cost over £1,300 and included a n/s/f stub axle assembly and a
diff oil change. In 2020 it had new seat covers and foams; a new sports steering
wheel; 16 new wheel nuts; new fuel filter and pipes plus much else
besides.
In 2019 it had dozens of new parts
including all new brake calipers, discs and hoses; suspension bushes; leaf
springs; exhaust brackets etc. In 2016 it had a new fuel tank. Some undated
photos show that it has had new sills and localised bodywork repairs at some
point in the not-too-distant past. An indoor car cover is also included and two
sets of keys.
The last MOT expired in April
2022 with no advisories recorded since when it has only covered around 700
miles. Classed as a Historic Vehicle on the V5C, it is now free to tax and
MOT-exempt. We are told that it drives well with the overdrive functioning as it
should.
Although it has been starting promptly
and running well as we have moved it around on site, with good 60psi oil
pressure, we did note that it had developed a water leak which will need
attending to before it can be driven away.
As
you can see in the photos, it looks presentable although it does have a few
bodywork blemishes here and there. On offer here at no reserve, the best bid
takes it home.
