Supplied new by H.A. Fox Jaguar of Ladymead, Guildford of Surrey in
November 1999 this X308 series of Jaguar XJ comes to us in desirable XJR guise,
meaning its supercharged….
Finished in dark
Green and riding on its original 18” seven-spoke alloy wheels, these X308 XJR’s
still look sharp, imposing and rather special.
Under the long, wide bonnet, we find the supercharged 4.0 litre
AJV8 engine driving the rear wheels via a (Mercedes sourced) five-speed
5G-tronic W5A580 automatic transmission producing 370Bhp and a whopping 525NM of
torque which gave the XJR rather blistering performance for a super-saloon of
its era, the dash to sixty taking just 5.6 seconds and onto its limited top
speed of 155mph.
Inside, we find cream leather
trim, electric seats, walnut trim including half-timbered and leather wrapped
multi-function steering wheel, heated front and rear screens, digital climate
control with AC, Valet mode, traction control, on-board trip computer, electric
windows, electric mirrors, Sport Mode, cruise control and automatic
lights.
The XJR shows 91,900 miles and is
understood to have been in storage for a while covering just 650 miles in the
last year and presents well with only minor signs of age/mileage and use as
pictured.
The history file includes the V5C
showing just three former keepers to the current lady owner of eight years, the
owner’s pack and service book revealing 11 stamps inc. PDI, the last in 2017 at
80,290 miles by a Berlin based dealer and 1 old MOT.
Ready to be enjoyed with a fresh, clean MOT valid until April
2024 with no advisories recorded, and the private plate pictured, included in
the sale.
