Description
1989 Range Rover Classic
No
Reserve
Last of the 3.5s; basic spec - coils, non-sunroof,
non ABS - the one to have; solid chassis; believed low mileage; great
potential
This straight Cyprus Green four-door comes with grey
'Teddy bear' velour and was supplied new through MJ Fews in
Gloucester.
It has only had two owners from new and shows 49,000 miles
which could well be correct, although there is insufficient paperwork to confirm
this.
It was taken off the road in 2008 by its elderly owner who couldn't
bear to part with it, and has been stored under his carport ever since. He
put oil down the bores and it was turned over regularly, although not
started so the fuel system will need some attention before fire-up. The engine
turns freely and the dash lights illuminate when a battery is
connected.
The chassis number is clearly visible on the sound (and as far
as we can tell unwelded) chassis which remains in solid order. The sills appear
ok and it carries an air of originality - it hasn't been got at.
It comes
in the best spec for a Range Rover of the era, with no bells or whistles and is
just as Spen King intended - manual gearbox, (revised transfer box model), no
sunroof, no ABS, no computers and no aircon.
The file includes the book
pack, various old MOTs and a few invoices going back in time. It is on SORN and
even carries its original supplying dealer number plates.
Solid Range
Rovers like this are few and far between - grab this while you can.....on offer
