1990 Peugeot 205 GTi

Tidy example from 10-year enthusiast ownership in what looks to be an unmodified state boasting a leather interior and glass sunroof  with considerable history

Supplied new by McKinnon Motors Ltd of Surrey in August 1990, this ever so cool Peugeot 205GTi comes to us in Limited Edition guise and is believed to be one of just 300 UK market 1.6 GTi examples finished in desirable Miami Blue with full grey leather interior with red stitching.

The car shows 142,360 miles which have been covered by four former owners and our vendor, the current of ten years.

The car appears in nice, unmolested stock form which is rare to find nowadays and boasts a set of charming, refurbished pepper-pot alloy wheels, glass sunroof, electric windows, central locking, power steering and grey carpets.

The history file includes the V5C, owner’s manuals and booklets plus original service book containing 14 stamps and a second showing a further two stamps (duplicates of two in the main booklet), the last in 2002 at 87,261 miles.

The file also includes a host of invoices for maintenance works including a note from the vendor detailing significant works carried of note for the rear beam rebuild in 2016 including two new Bilstein shocks, a Group N lower engine mount, new front Bilstein shocks fitted in 2015, a cylinder head rebuild by Skip Browns including seas, shims, water pump, cambelt and tensioner in 2015, fitment of a Meta immobiliser in 2010 and replacement gear linkages in 2012 plus a clutch change during his ownership.

More recent works include a lube service this year and new heater matrix, new brake master cylinder in 2021, and a re-spray in 2015.

The history file also includes further historic bills, some 23 old MOTs, a Haynes manual, 205 buyers guide, 205 Enthusiasts Companion, period sales flyer on the Limited Edition model and current MOT valid until March 2023 which recorded no advisories.
