Face-lift six-speed manual supercharged example showing 91,143 miles with black leather interior

Dating from March 2001 this face-lift R170 generation SLK comes to us in desirable 230 form, meaning under the bonnet we find the supercharged 2.3 litre M111.983 four-cylinder engine which develops 194bhp and whopping 280NM of torque, enough to propel this 2-seat sports car to 60mph in only 7 seconds with the 6-speed manual box as fitted to this example, which was a rare option – most seem to be automatic.

Finished in Brilliant Silver the car wears its original 16” five-spoke alloy wheels and inside we find a black leather interior.

The spec of this example includes electric driver’s seat operation, dual zone climate with A/C, silver aluminium effect sports trim, cruise control with speed limit function, power steering, electric windows, electric mirrors, traction control and original Mercedes Audi10 radio/CD player.

The car shows 91,143 miles and presents well bar a few localised bits of surface scabbing common to the R170 on the rear wheel arch lips and some signs of wear commensurate with its age and mileage to the driver’s seat bolster edge.

The history file includes just the V5C revealing five former keepers, VOSA MOT history print-out and current MOT valid until February 2023 recording 12 advisories (check online, enter the reg at check-mot.service.gov.uk).  A rather nice feature of this eminently usable SLK is the private plate shown, which is included in the sale of this Lot, offered at No Reserve so the highest bid takes it home.
