Dating from August 2000 this face-lift R170 series SLK features the potent 3.2-litre V6 engine developing 218bhp, driving the rear wheels in this case, through a six-speed manual transmission, which certainly makes the most of the power available...

Finished in bright red with matching red and black leather interior, the car looks an eyeful, sitting upon its 'arch-filling' 9-spoke 16inch alloy wheels. Inside, we find two-tone seats and dash finished in red leather with electric seat adjustment, 2-stage heated seats, cruise control, sporty brushed aluminium trim, traction control, speed limit function, electric windows and mirrors, dual zone climate control with A/C and of course the famous and clever folding metal roof.

Within the history file, we find only the owner’s pack with manuals, V5C, Certificate of Conformity 2 old MOTs and current MOT valid until September with a few minor advisories recorded, not uncommon for a 22 year old car. We are told it has very recently had new fuel lines fitted.
