Description
2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (996)
Lady owned
AWD Tiptronic S example with just 1 previous owner showing only 75,340 miles;
well optioned example
Supplied new by AFN
Porsche, Park Lane, London in June 2001 this 996 series 911 comes to us in
desirable Carrera 4 guise, with all-wheel drive sure-footedness to put down the
296bhp produced by the rear mounted 3.4 litre flat-six engine through 5-speed
automatic/tiptronic transmission.
Finished in Black Pearl Metallic (L744)
with beautifully contrasting Savannah-beige leather interior (SM) the car was
very well optioned when new. The spec included stainless steel tailpipes (X54),
stainless steel entry plates with Porsche logo (X70), LH seat heating (139),
tiptronic transmission (249), anti-dazzle mirror and rain sensor (265),
automatic anti dazzle wing mirrors (266), headlamp washer (288), RH seat heating
(340), 18inch 993 Turbo look alloy wheels, not hollow spoked (413), rear wiper
(425), tiptronic buttons for steering wheel (432), 3-spoke steering wheel (436),
8-way electric seat LH & RH (437 & 438), basic sound system (490), no
model designation on the rear of the car (498), driver’s seat memory (538), roof
rack (549), top-tinted windscreen (567), Litronic, Xenon headlights (601), park
assist (635), sun-moon-roof (650), PCM1 sat nav, phone module, radio/cassette
(662), telephone handset (663), Nokia DSP audio system (680), preparation for CD
changed (689), draped leather rear seats (939), leather dash and door panels
(981) and draped leather front seats (982) – quite the
spec.
Brother-in-law and sister-in-law owned from new, the first owner
worked in London and bought the car with a bonus, and kept it until 2017 when
his sister, our vendor bought it off him. The car looks super with that
beautifully contrasting Savannah interior with a mega spec, perhaps the only bit
that lets the car down are the wheels which would certainly benefit from a
refurb, but that aside it looks great for its age and mileage of just 75,357 –
our vendor covering c.15,000 miles in her tenure.
The history file
includes a copy V5C (the vendor has applied to DVLA to retain their personal
registration, new V5C will be sent to us as soon as they receive it back), old
V5C, owner’s pack & service book with 3 stamps plus a file of maintenance
invoices and old MOTs.
Recent works of merit include a £2411 spend at a
local specialist in Hereford on 2 replacement sports rear silencers and a new
gearbox selector cable, fitment of new coils and plugs in 2017 at a cost of £723
plus a further £870 spent on new discs and pads in Jan-17, major service plus
fitment of new AC condensers by Porsche Swindon at 58,022 miles in August 2016
costing £1930 and a tome of further annual service invoices, mostly at Porsche
Centre, West London dating back to 2001 in addition to the original order form
costing £62,950 plus options.
We also find evidence of the Tracker fitted
to the car with info in the file and c.14 old MOTs plus current MOT valid until
July 2022 with 10 minor advisories noted (see check-mot.service.gov.uk and enter
the reg). The car is ready to be enjoyed with values of the most affordable 911
on the rise, lower mileage low owner examples with strong specs like this one
are the ones to watch.
